After placing your unitized loads on pallets or slip sheets, the next step is to secure them safely and efficiently to ensure that they arrive without damage. Stretch wrapping allows us to achieve the goals of easy and safe transportation in the most cost-effective manner possible.
Sunstream proudly represents Lantech, the founder of this innovation and the market leader in load unitization in Singapore. Lantech is committed to making load unitization and stretch wrapping easy, cost-efficient, and versatile. A Lantech stretch wrapping machine is suitable for any of your applications.
Stretch wrapping ensures minimal movement of loads and maximum safety during transportation. Although there are many other methods of load unitization, stretch wrapping increases the odds that your loads arrive safely, securely, and without damage.
Lantech has developed criteria to define an effectively wrapped pallet load. A safe-to-ship load must be:
1. Wrapped with sufficient and appropriate containment force throughout the load. Containment force is the product of the stretch film tension and the number of film layers.
2. Locked to the pallet with a stretch film cable. This is done by rolling the film into a tight cable and placing that cable below the pallet’s deck boards.
3. Have no film tails which create safety hazards that can cause loads to partially unwrap.
Lantech Semi-Automatic Stretch Wrappers — wrap 20 to 40 loads per hour; choose the right semi-automatic stretch wrapper for your application.
